reiss' you

The first two albums of You - "Electric Day" (Cain 1979) and "Time Code" (Rock City 1983) - have been reissued by Bureau B, both on lp and cd - with extra tracks on the latter format only - you can hear two of the six below. Sadly You's "Scanner" 12" (on black vinyl! Cain 1981) has been overlooked as a possible source for such bonus bonanza.

swamp dogg reissue request

A doggone blisterin' comment on yankeeland, recorded in 1972 by the magnificent Jerry Williams jr, ladies & gentlemen! And hey reissue labels, how's about reprinting these two Swamp Dogg albums on vinyl - viz. the classic debut "Total Destruction To Your Mind" (Canyon 1970, gatefold!) and the ultra rare "An Opportunity … Not A Bargain!!!" (Wizard 1977)? Or how about a Charly 2cd that reprises "Uncut And Classified 1A" (CRB 1026, 1981) & "Unmuzzled!" (CRB 1045, 1983)?

flash! flash! flash!

The original of "Flash" is by the Duke of Burlington (pseudonym of Mario Battaini) and dates from 1969 (as released on Signal / Saar). The Tony Carrasco produced Italo remake on Proto dates from 1983. Val Merrall's cover version was recorded between 1970 and 1974 somewhere. It's off the "Gypsy Creams & Ginger Nuts - Sounds That Swept The Supermarkets (The Redifunk Of Rediffusion) (Mood Mosaic Volume Ten)" v/a cd on RPM (2007, cat. no. 328).
