If you want to study the unique Lightnin' Hopkins, there's Alan Govenar's biography "His Life And Blues" (Chicago Review Press, 2010-05, ISBN 9781556529627) with accompanying 2cd "His Blues" on Ace (2010-07, cat. no. CDCH2-1259, 24 page booklet). Also, there's an authorised documentary film in the making, "Where Lightnin' Strikes" by Mark Susman and Mike Snow (produced by Fast Cut Films in Houston) … Still, too bad his version of "What I'd say" isn't on the 2cd … As for "Baby please don't go" ...
