finally that fac 51 on vinyl

Ha! The Haçienda! What with the club now turned into domestic flats, FAC 51 finally sees fit to surface on vinyl ... though it's highly unclear what the music will be at all. Box set to be released "late 2010" by Foruli, Hook book out since 2009 (ISBN 9781847391773) ... Meanwhile, photographer Kevin Cummins has published yet another book on Factory / Joy Division (Rizzoli 2010-10-26, ISBN 9780847834815), this time around with prefaces by Bernard 'Albrecht' Sumner and Jay McInerney.

The missing link (recorded early 1982) between "Temptation" and "Blue Monday" … Initially, I had the 21'49" version here (for your listening pleasure, never for download), but Touch asked me to change the post as they're currently renegotiating the rights to the long version. Hopefully, a reprint on vinyl will soon materialise! In the meantime, you can get hold of this track via fab reissue label LTM's "Twice As Nice" v/a cd (2004, cat. no. LTMCD 2398, itself a follow-up volume to "Cool As Ice", 2003, LTMCD 2377).
